DNA Replication practice- plz help I don't understand biology?

1) DNA replication results in how many double strands of DNA?

2) Are the double strands identical?

3) where do the nucleotides for the new strands come from?

4) The replication fork is where.....

5) DNA replication is semi-conservative. What does this mean?

6) Name 2 enzymes that are necessary for DNA replication?

7) Why must DNA be replicated?DNA Replication practice- plz help I don't understand biology?
1) one parent strand and one daughter strand.. so 2.. one old, one new

2) yes.. unless there was a mistake is the replication causing a mutation

3) they come from the DNA Polymerase III

4) looks legit like a fork :P it's where the dna just starts opening into the replication bubble

5) it means there's a parent strand and a daughter strand

6) DNA gyrase, DNA Helicase, DNA Polymerase I, III, DNA Ligase

7) DNA is replicated so that new cells can be made.. you know in mitosis and meiosis. we always need new cells because cells can become dysfunctional and such.. the body's always growing during puberty so new cells are needed.. you get the point?
